Those of you who read the title and knew exactly what I was talking about... congrats you're probably fit and hot! The rest of you who think I made it up listen closely. I didnt, Tracy Anderson did (no I literally think she made that word up, hipcentric... wtf). Anyway, regardless of her ability to coin made up terminology the bottom line is this: her. DVD. is. fucking. fantastic. Ok honesty hour, so I have been on a quest for svelte since idk middle school, and have always fallin slightly short of my dream body. My dream body is Halle Berry's (bitch is bangin) but I must be realistic to MY bodytype.
Now what Tracy does is ask you to dissect your specific body type. Do you gain weight in your belly (skinny legs/arms with rolls in the midsection-back area)? Do you have a a normal body but with a sad droppy, flat ass? Do you have a thin upper body with more junk in the trunk, and thunder in the thighs? Or do you evenly gain the flab all over? If the first is you, you are abcentric. If the second is you, you are glutecentric. If the thrid is you, you are hipcentric (welcome). If the fourth is you, you are omnicentric.
The strength training section changes every 10 days and let me tell you it is challenging. I've done Insanity, I've done Barry's Bootcamp, I've done one on one personal training sessions and they have all been uber tough, but this (for me) was the absolute toughest challenge yet. Something about working your "accessory" muscles is just exhausting- but well worth it. Im on day 12 and I have already lost an inch and a half around my thighs and waist, an inch from my arms and 4 lbs. I suggest trying it out. My change in body has already gotten 2 friends running to Tracy for help! I must tell you though, the cardio section is freaking weird! Its a "dance" cardio but really you're just jumping around for 30 minutes. I feel like a bouncing idiot and whenever my roommates have caught me doing it, the sight is always followed by a fit of laughter. However the method is working! I suppose its because its equivilant to jumping rope (which burns more calories than running), while doing jumping jacks, while doing high kicks, while doing an arm workout. Its enough cardio to get your heart beat racing, for you to sweat, and to feel a tired burn all without bulking! Plus unlike running which your body quickly gets use to (I was known to run at 6.5 on a tredmil for 2 hours straight with no results) it keeps your muscles entertained and confused. That equals major calories burned and major weight loss! Just put EVERYTHING into it. Dont hold back. Jump high, kick hard, keep bouncing and for God's sake whatever you do, dont stop. You'll feel it- promise!
Lastly, there is a 30 day diet plan, which I dont follow. Sorry but I need more than liquid to get me through the day. If you have alot of weight to lose it's probably beneficial but Im losing inches and lbs and still eating solid foods. Do what feels right to you. Try it out and let me know what you think!!! Feel the burn. Lose the weight. Get it sexy bitches
