Ever notice how some people can enter a situation and be completely accepted right away? I have. I use to envy those people. I would have done anything to be more normal, be understandable so that I could simply fall in line, take my place and reap the benefits of conforming. Honestly, instant jobs, instant friends, instant connections, instant money- those people who took their place right away experienced that sort of instant gratification. I yearned for it, desperately. I tried to lose weight, changed my hair, even tried to alter my personality to fit into a mold that others thought I needed to be shaped into. Let me tell you something... it didn't work (shocker). Eventually I had to own up to the fact that plain and simply I dance to the beat of my own inner music and lets just say I have more then just one genre. Then it occurred to me, taking your place in line is nice but there are some people who are destined for more. There are some who are to CREATE their own line, their own path. There are some who are meant to let that glorious inner light shine so bright that it becomes a beacon to others who too realize they cant fit into the "stereotype" or the "norm". Look at those who have changed the world, its because they weren't afraid to step out of line and into their destiny. They weren't "normal" or "ordinary" they were EXTRAordinary. So all I have to say is let that inner light burst into a glow so bright that no one can deny your power, your worth. You were made PERFECT for your specific destination, there will never be anyone as perfect at being you as you, so own it!
Here are a few quotes that I love...
"Yes you are completely mad, bonkers even. But let me tell you a secret, all of the BEST people are."
"Sometimes I've believed as many as 6 IMPOSSIBLE things before breakfast"
"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you WIN"
"READ, every day, something no one else is reading. THINK, every day, something no one else is thinking. DO, every day, something no one else would be silly enough to do. It is bad for the mind to continually be part of unanimity."
"If you keep doing things like you've always done them, what you'll get is what you've already got"
"All progress has resulted from people who took unpopular positions"
"Be the change you want to see in the world"
